Kaiden:

1. Before Kaiden started making deep and personal emotional connections with people other than his dad, (Nikki and Matthew, for example), he mainly uses his physic navigation for materialistic means. After said bonds are created, Kaiden is able to "catch a whiff" of his friends' and dads physical and emotional state/pain when he uses his powers to check up on/find them.

2. When Kaiden goes AWOL for about four years, he strengthens his psychic navigation power while he's away; and as well unlocks a dormant ability: Power Detection. 

3. Kaiden steals for mainly selfish reasons and survival, but he doesn't keep much in his fridge and barely eats anything of substance, and mainly drinks black coffee. After he and Nikki start getting close, Nikki drops off foods like donuts, fruits, and sandwiches for him to eat along with fresh cups of coffee. 

4. Due to his mothers career and as some one with high social standing, Kaiden gets placed in the spot light a lot when he's having to deal with her publicly. He hates being in said "spotlight" and surrounded by the upper class people she works with. 

5. Kaiden will occasionally visit his dad, Adam, in prison. Kaiden is closest to him; and granted he kind of resents Adam for instilling that selfish behavior to protect Kaiden, he still loves him. It's not until a few years down the line and making friends along the way that Kaiden holds himself accountable and learns that he can still change his ways. (Which his dad was hoping for when Kaiden brings up making friends on the other side of the law. Over time Adam wants a better life for Kaiden)

6. Kaiden has a pretty low self-worth that accumulated at a young age due to how his mother saw him and treated him and his dad, among other things. Kaiden does his best to hide it when around Nikki and Matthew and their friends. However it's a different story when he's completely alone and not working on something to keep him busy.

7. It takes Kaiden a while to come full circle with his feelings for Nikki. He reciprocates hers almost immediately, but also goes back and forth because he thinks it might be just because she's someone giving him positive attention. 

8. Kaiden builds all of his own gadgets and tools, and as well works on his own motor cycle. He steals most if not all of the parts he uses and takes his work very, very seriously.


Shaw:

1. Shaw identifies as Pansexual, which is defined as the attraction to all genders. He has a habit of making even the straightest guys bend. He's a real charmer. 

2. Though Shaw and his family escaped their conditions in Samoa when he was relatively young, Shaw remembers some of it and wants to go back and visit the "good parts" of the islands. Granted the biggest threat for him (and his family) is the possibility of his father and his trafficking ring still being around and active. 

3. While attending high school, Shaw worked many part time jobs while still helping out at his family's shop. Being so busy with working and trying to take care of his family, Shaw hadn't even thought of going to college after graduation. His mother had heavy influence in him actually deciding to go off to college. 

4. When Shaw is recruited by Chopra Inc., he ends up being gone for a year instead of the sixth months proposed to him. The story told to his family concerning his status was that there was an "incident within the corporation and the survey had to be started over and they needed Shaw to stay". In reality, Shaw was enduring excruciating experiments and was being trained to work as a 'soldier' for Chopra Inc.

5. Shaw's super strength is inherited from his mother, Marley. She and her sister both have meta-human abilities, but Shaw's aunt passed away before the family had escaped from Samoa. Marley adopted her sister's baby, David, and he basically became Shaw's little brother. Much to Shaw's dismay, David looks up to Shaw a lot.

6. After Shaw comes back home from the experiments, he gets an offer from an old boss to come work in his new bar. Shaw heads the back for a while, being a cook. Due to his size (6'8") and the cramped area of the kitchen, he ends up manning the bar area. Being able to be in the spotlight and show off his big personality helped him be almost the old Shaw before he left. 

7. Even though Shaw would do anything for his family, he has (well, HAD) no plans of starting a family. Being tied down doesn't sit well with him. Shaw never did well with long-term relationships to begin with though. 

8. Shaw has a dog! He is a French Bulldog mix (small breed) named "Frank" that Shaw adopted from his neighbors, who left him behind when they moved out. The dog was sitting outside of the apartment door usually before his owners left, and Shaw would give him scraps every now and then. Shaw felt bad for Frank and the dog had taken a liking to Shaw so it only seemed right. 

Kable:

1. When Nikki and Kaiden get back together, it takes a wee Kable some time to get used to Kaiden being around all the time. However, being a warm and welcoming child altogether, it's not long until Kable warms up to Kaiden completely.

2. When Kable's electrokinesis first surfaced at a young age, it showed through electricity induced seizures (such as Shaw experienced after the experiments performed on him). With plenty of training and releasing built up energy, Kable hasn't dealt with any seizures for years.

3. Kable can speak and understand Samoan language. He learned it from his dad's family, and mainly uses it to speak with his great grandparents. He and Shaw will also yell at each other in public in Samoan in good fun and to get reactions out of strangers.

4. In terms of his electrokinesis, Kable is more creative with it than Shaw was. Kable will generate things like electric energy force fields, etc. He may even ride in on "lightning". 

5. Kable took to being an older brother right away, often eager to help out with Hunter and Sheila (or really any baby that was younger than him). He never thought any less of them because they're his "half-siblings".

6. Kable has a tendency to come across as "flirty" (girls and guys), which may very well be the case sometimes. Most of the time though he's just being friendly. 

7. Kable hates seeing the worst in people. He'd much rather see the good in them and what good they're capable of doing. But if he has reasons to be suspicious/ not trust someone, he'll follow his gut instinct until proven other wise. He's an optimist at best, but not at the expense of his friends and family.

8. Kable trains with Rory (via Sockless-Sheep) to help Rory control her own electrokinesis. The two of them are basically Shaw and Lucy made over, but with a lot less flirting and plenty of friendly banter.
